Get the opportunity to watch Gray Whales in Baja and enjoy upscale safari accommodations with new wood cabins or large tents situated on a remote beach on the Pacific side of the Baja peninsula. You can hear the breathing sound of Grey Whales of Baja at night. We take small groups in a small panga into a calm bay where you can get close and even caress a wild whale if they approach us. Baja Jones offers memorable Grey Whale watching trips in Baja, Mexico. The journey starts from San Diego, from where we transport you to the Ensenada Airport for a short flight to Guerrero Negro. From there, you will reach the seaside tented lodge a quick 1 hour ride.
The entire Baja Jones Adventure Travel team takes pride in knowing that for more than 25 years every 4 day and longer trip group has experienced close encounters with the gray whales. However, it all our guests should know that we strictly adhere to and respect the Mexican government guidelines for whale watching. These regulations do not restrict touching or petting of a whale who approaches our boat. Sometimes too, you can spot a baby Gray Whale taking a ride on the mother Gray Whale. It is absolutely mesmerizing to watch this mommy-baby duo as the youngster learns a survival skill.
All our guests sleep in comfortable cabin or tent accommodations. You will sleep on real beds, with sheets, comforters, soft fluffy blankets and pillows. We provide robes and slippers for your gas-fired hot water showers. The camp has real flush toilets. We can provide portable RV style toilets in your tent. We are sure that you will love the exceptional Mexican food served in the big dining tent. This also where we meet to talk and where you will be briefed about what the group will be doing on the following days.
